EzraGuitar’s Summer (rising K-6th) Program is a celebration of artistic expression from around the globe!  This summer participants will take an adventure to India and regions heavily influenced by Indian culture, as they explore the beautiful and unique music, theatre, dance, cuisine, visual art and folktales.

Students receive daily: Guitar lessons, Theatre classes, Visual art, lively World Music “Jump and Jam session!” special guest artists and outdoor time!

Families and friends, join us for a final Friday-showcase performance on the last day of each summer session on The Red Stage at EzraGuitar!

SESSION I: June 28th-July 7th (6 days) Meets Wed-Friday each week. (Last day of public elementary school is Tuesday, June 27th. July 4th is Tuesday the following week)

SESSION II: July 10th-July 21st (10 days) Full 2-week program. Meets Mon-Friday each week

Upon registering you will be charged a $150 Summer deposit.

For kids in rising grades 2-6: Your child will have group guitar classes each day of the program.  Consider adding private lessons to enhance your child’s summer music experience. 

Lessons will be scheduled after summer program hours, at 3pm or later. 

Lesson packages include 4, 30-minute private guitar lessons per 2-week session. Cost: $216 (discounted rate) If you would like 45 or 60 min lessons or more than 4 lessons, we will adjust the fee accordingly.

  • Drop off is at 9AM at the EzraGuitar: 785 Coney Island Ave, Ditmas Park

  • Early drop off is available at 8:30 AM for $10 per day

  • Partial Day pick up is at 1:30pm

  • Full Day Pick-up is at 3PM

  • Please send your child with lunch, a reusable bottle for water, and 3 healthy snacks. (please no candy or glass)

  • Please apply Sunscreen in the morning.

  • Please pack: a hat, a pack of clean masks to be kept in the studio for multiple changes, a bottle of hand sanitizer, and sunscreen every day, to be applied later if needed.

  • Please pack a smock or old shirt for art-art can be messy! This item will be left at our studio for the duration of your child’s camp program.

  • Your child should wear comfortable clothes that they can be free to move around in-they will be active! 

  • Please have them prepared for the weather; rain boots, et cetera.

Do You Offer Early Bird Summer Discounts?

Yes! Register before March 15th to receive no registration fee ($50 savings)

Do You Offer Sibling Discounts? 

Yes! In addition to early bird specials, second siblings will receive 5% off summer tuition!

What Is Your Summer Refund Policy?

After April 15th, summer program tuition is non-refundable.

Can I Switch The Weeks I’ve Registered?

After May 15th, you may switch 2-week sessions based on availability for $25 fee. Prior to May 15th there will be no fee.

What If I Need To Pick Up My Child Early, last minute? 

If you plan on picking up your child earlier than 3:00 PM, please call us at 718.434.2103 to let us know.

What If I Am Late To Pick Up My Child? 

Please call us to let us know you are delayed. Late fees will be applied on the day of as needed. $15 per 30 min.

When Are The End-Of-Week Performances?

On the last Friday of each summer session at 2:30PM at The Studio! Family and friends are welcome!

Inspired by the stories & culture of each summer session theme: the Caribbean & Argentina, students will produce their own play! Using devised theatre techniques, improvisation, movement and music. Through a collaborative, creative process of theatre-making students will develop their acting skills, create characters, choreograph, write their script, and in our visual art classes each day: design set and props & visual space. A final performance will be shared with family and friends on the final Friday of each 2-week program!

Inspired by the unique and rich art of the Caribbean & Argentina, students will explore the art history of each region and do art projects each day, using a wide variety of materials: paper mache, acrylic, water colors, felt, kinetic sand, clay, cardboard…you name it! Creating props, musical instruments, costume pieces, and more to design a backdrop for their final Friday sharing for family and Friends!

This exciting percussion based class focuses on learning both the rich history and origins of music and the fundamentals of music: learning note values, rhythm, dynamics, playing in an ensemble & more! We will use a variety of rhythmic and melodic instruments to create full and textured ensemble performances with the students based on musical structures from our summer themes: the Caribbean & Argentina! A performance will be shared on the final Friday of each session for family and Friends!

This summer students will enjoy our group guitar classes each day of the program!  In these classes kids will study the EzraGuitar method, to teach them the fundamentals of guitar technique, reading music and ensemble work all through the music of the Caribbean and Argentina; arranged especially for them by Maoz Ezra.  We will explore repertoire of beloved children’s songs from these regions and the students will present a performance at the end of each 2 week session for family & friends in our our final Friday Showcase!*For kids in grades 2 and up- we invite you to consider adding on a private lesson package for after camp hours during the session!
