Stephanie Wells is a music director, educator, pianist and vocal coach. She has been teaching and music directing for over 20 years. She received her BA in Musical Theater Performance from Columbia College Chicago. In Chicago, she began music directing, playing with bands and started teaching at Old Town School of Folk Music. After moving to NYC, she met Elizabeth Swados and collaborated with her at New School and Tisch/NYU where she had the pleasure of working on many devised musical theater productions that were produced and performed in NYC, Abu Dhabi and Shanghai. She served as adjunct faculty at Kingsborough College where she taught Musical Theater and Music Appreciation and served as the resident Music Director for the Theater Department. She has worked with several different organizations in NYC as a teaching artist such as TADA! Youth Theater, Brooklyn Acting Lab, Brooklyn Children’s Theater, The Leadership Program and The Performing Arts Project.

Over the past 3 years, she’s had the pleasure of exploring the rest of the country and has worked with UC Boulder, The Arts Hub, and Rocky Mountain Children’s Theater in Colorado, served as the Associate Music Director for the BFA Musical Theater Program at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas and worked as a teaching artist with VIBE of Portland in Oregon. She’s really excited to join the team at EzraGuitar!
